What we do: Product Range

Genepharm product categories include:

  • Generic medicines – both "blockbuster" and niche patent expired medicines.
  • Branded generics – dermatology products have led sales, with Estelle ED 35 - currently the market leader in its class.
  • Over-the-Counter (OTC) products include Hairy Lemon, Uricleanse and Iron Melts which have strong consumer branding.
  • Avene and Klorane products – a French range of dermo-cosmetic products for skin and hair.
  • Hospital products – medicines dispensed in hospitals include Curosurf, the patented formulation for pre-mature babies.
  • In 2006, Genepharm launched the sale of its first three prescription medicines: Simvastin, for the treatment of patients with high cholesterol; Ciprofloxacin, an oral antibiotic; and Metformin, for patients with Type II diabetes. These three products contributed gross sales of $3.44 million from April to year end.

The Company has focused on 'filling out' the generic product portfolio, enabling Genepharm to offer a complete 'one stop' proposition to pharmacy. The developing range of branded OTC and complementary medicines will provide the company with a portfolio of the biggest selling generic drugs, complemented by a broad range of consumer medicines and other health related products that will create a unique sales offer for our customers.

The recruitment and training of new high quality sales personnel, as well as refining the sales offer, offers customers the combination of a high quality sales team and a unique selling proposition provided the basis for a strong sales result.
